String Break! April 16-17-18, 2020
Guitar workshops with Robin Kessinger are something special, and that’s what’s in store for guitar pickers young and old, for the eleventh consecutive year, at The BrazenHead Inn. We call it “String Break!”
The cost will be $165 for all three days, which does not include lodging, but a special discount on lodging will be extended to all who attend this workshop. For more information about the workshop, contact Robin Kessinger (via facebook messenger). For information about lodging availability, contact the BrazenHead Inn by phone or by e-mail.
Reservations (for both dinner and lodging) are strongly recommended on this weekend.
Robin and Dan Kessinger perform Friday night, their students perform Saturday night. Not to be missed! Contact the BrazenHead for details.
A native-born living West Virginia flatpick guitar legend, Robin Kessinger keeps a busy schedule, teaching both beginner and advanced guitar students, and still finds time for memorable concerts, workshops and contests. His awards include the 1985 National Flatpick Championship at Winfield, Kansas; the 1989 and 1990 Galax, Virginia, Best Performer championship; and firsts in West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky and Georgia. Robin headlines many festivals and judges up-and-coming flatpick artists in contests around the country. He has appeared on PBS and BBC television specials and NPR radio shows. He has been an instructor at the Augusta since 1983. Robin lists his influences as “everything I listen to”; his father, Bob; and his great uncle, fiddler Clark Kessinger.
